I am not sure of the difficulty with your ...Margo;<br /><br />I am not sure of the difficulty with your filter, but what you describe is not "normal".<br /><br />Did you have the little white tip on the pickup line? Did you agitate the carboy before filtering? Did you have the holes in the filter pads lined up? Did you have the filter pads set int he right place? Did you use the right filter pads?
